HOMECOMING

For my Homecoming exhibition series, I aimed to showcase my artwork in the very locations where I source my mediums—discarded inner tubes, tires, plates, and bicycle rims. The vulcanizers and mechanics, from whom I acquire these materials, are often unaware of the artistic transformation that follows their sale. As anticipated, after the exhibition, their perception of the value of these once-overlooked objects shifted. What intrigued me was the realization that even seemingly insignificant items could possess inherent worth. This revelation extended to the belief that, like these inanimate objects, we too are capable of profound transformation and rebirth. Through our personal "homecomings," others may witness the force of our metamorphosis and discover a wellspring of hope.
